I am Becky Clark, full-time Yoga Instructor and Therapeutic Musician.
I believe in living a holistic lifestyle, and that a regular yoga practice is a great foundation. The physical practice allows me to take care of my body and mind so that stress decreases while strength increases. And in turn, life becomes more manageable and beautiful. Yoga reveals its potency to me when I find myself being less reactive, more relaxed, present and productive while willing to accept everything in life as opportunities to grow, learn, and serve. My goal as an instructor is to help you get back in touch with these sensations by giving you the tools and experience to cultivate your own nourishing and sustainable self-care routine.
Before I became a regular student of yoga, I studied classical vocal technique at Pepperdine University (Bachelor of Arts Degree) and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Master of Music Degree). Eventually, I became interested in music used as therapy and completed a certification in Sound, Voice, and Music in the Healing Arts at the California Institute of Integral Studies under pioneers in the field like Director of the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy at NYU, Alan Turry, and Grammy-nominated musician, Silvia Nakkach. Once I stepped foot into the health and wellness field, I wanted to broaden my understanding of the physical body through a holistic framework. The next year, I attended the extensive YogaWorks Teacher Training program in Marin County, CA where I studied anatomy, movement/alignment principles, breath and meditation techniques, and so much more under the leadership of renowned yoga teachers Nikki Estrada and Michelle Klink. Since that time, I have spent years developing the art of teaching and honing my skills to offer yoga sessions with meditative music for whole-body health and healing. Let's see if we can work together to improve your quality of life.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with YogaAlliance; a non-profit organization representing qualified and accredited yoga teachers, schools and studios in the U.S.
